Let’s start by how I started this and what is actually it. I was reading about dental hygiene for quite sometime now since I am thinking about getting my teeth whitened professionally for the first time. I happened to come upon the term coconut pulling a lot. I researched it and thought that this is such an easy, not harmful thing to do so to give it a try. Coconut pulling is basically taking a tablespoon of coconut oil and swishing it in your mouth for 10 minutes or so. What this does is remove all harmful bacteria and also detoxify your mouth. I also noticed that my breath was much fresher and my tongue didn’t have any nasty residue that sometimes it has.
This method is actually in Ayurvedic medicine. Oil pulling can be used with olive oil and sesame oil, but I read that coconut oil is the more common oil to use for this. I have been doing this for quite some time now, not everyday because I tend to forget, but whenever I remember. It makes the teeth so shiny and your breath a weird clean. Like it doesn’t have a minty after taste to make your breath clean, but it just leaves it plain and ….. clean! 🙂
I think we all should give this a try since it is really inexpensive and actually does have great benefits. Give it a try to let me know after a month or so how this has worked for you.
